Link Crew

Link CrewWhat is Link Crew?

"Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, Boomerang Project’s proven high school transition program trains mentors from your junior and senior classes to be Link Crew Leaders. As positive role models, Link Crew Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success."

All aboard the Crew ship...

We are excited to announce an exciting new way of connecting our entire student body, staff, and district personnel! The 2019-2020 Link Crew has been designed in a different way than in previous years, offering the entire Morro Bay High School community an opportunity to be involved in a school-wide team building and unifying experience with students and staff members from all grade levels and departments. Students and staff members will be randomly placed into four “Crews.” A color and name will be assigned to each crew as a way for crew members to further show their Crew spirit!

Throughout the year, Crews will be given opportunities to get together to form new friendships and mentorships, as well as win points for their crew. Point winning opportunities will be in the form of lunchtime competitions and tournament involvement, major sporting event attendance, acknowledgment of random acts of kindness, attendance and tardy rates, spirit day involvement, etc.

2019-2020 Link Crews:

  • BALTIC - Orange
  • CARIBBEAN - Red
  • CASPIAN - Purple
  • AEGEAN - Green
