MBHS ROP Electronic Media class project, "The Elements and Principles of Design," was chosen to represent SLO county at the CUE state conference for technology educators. Under the direction of instructor Liz Moore, MBHS electronic media students combined art and technology skills to illustrate the elements and principles of design which are straight from VAPA content standards, then students applied skills to a project as humor in art. Students worked in Macromedia Flash to create their animations. The elements and principles of design are concepts that are applied universally to define and create artistic presentations. The Morro Bay High School students involved were: Alec Rodden, Sara Stanger, Danya Volkov, Kellie Hoffman, Jenny Gosnell, Ben Schrag, Clarke Comer, Tyler Horrigan, Genaro Garcia, Andrew Racette, Alesio Lorenzo, Gio LoCasio, Robert Frasier, Josh Tubbs, Willi Reinhart, John Avenburg, Tony Koster Joseph Fowler, Michael Applegate and Eric Evans. Mrs. Moore is also an active member of the district-wide Educational Technology Steering Committee representing secondary classroom teachers.
