Photo Homework
Due BEFORE April 11th, 2006
Subject: The subject is a portrait of someone unique, who is a positive influence in my life. The person I choose needs to be accessible to me so I can take their picture. This person needs to be someone who values my work.
Lighting and composition: I need to consider the lighting of this portrait and make it a dramatic effect. This can be achieved by using the sun and shadows or using lighting that is set up by a student. I will consider my composition and refer to my notes about getting to know the subject, walking around my subject for the best angle and making my subject feel at ease.
Type of camera: I can use a traditional film camera of my own or borrowed from the school. I have to have the film developed and printed on my own. I can use a disposable from the grocery store. I can use a digital camera of my own. I need to let Ms. Moore know if I need help getting a camera before February 17th.
Final project: I have two options for my final project
Option One: A presentation mounted on a large black poster board with an 8 x 10 of my best photo and two 5 x 7’s of the next best. I will include a proof sheet or small prints of the others.
I need a write-up:

How you plan to take their picture
When you plan to take their picture
Problems and solutions: Write about what happened and how you worked
