Admissions Testing

2017 COLLEGE ADMISSION TEST INFORMATION:

PSAT 8/9 or 10 EXAM:

  • Registration deadline is March 1, 2017
  • Sign up either in the ASB Bookkeeping Office or online at the MBHS Webstore
  • Testing date is April 10, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. in the MBHS Small Gym (approximately 3 hours)

ACT EXAM:

  • Registration deadline is May 5, 2017
  • Test date is June 10, 2017
  • Register at actstudent.org
  • Preparation materials are available HERE or visit the Counseling Office to receive a printed booklet

SAT EXAM:

  • Registration deadline is April 7, 2017
  • Test date is May 6, 2017
  • Register at sat.org/register
  • Practice tests available HERE or booklets are available in the Counseling Office

What tests should a student be taking to prepare for college admissions to a 4 year university?

Junior year take the PSAT in October to prepare for the SAT. Sign-up in our counseling secretaries office starting late September beginning of October. Students will take the test at MBHS.

Spring of junior year students should be registering either for the SAT or ACT. A student may register for both or one type of test.

Note: If you do not enter the MBHS School Code then we will not receive a copy of your test scores. See directions below for sending test scores to colleges. 


College Examination Requirements:

UC = ACT or SAT + writing

CSU = ACT or SAT without writing

Private Universities = It is advised to refer to the university website to view testing requirements.
